Fortescue Metals contract in WA
One plant is designed to service a 1,000 person camp and the other for a 500 person camp that is planned to be expanded to 1,000 persons in the first quarter of 2009.The plants were manufactured at the Stornoway facility in Brisbane on a very tight delivery schedule to meet the client’s requirements for start–up in January 2009. Both plants had to meet a strict specification including:• Must be o Transportableo Expandable / modularo Factory tested prior to installation• Easy to operate and maintain• Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) design• High quality effluent for maximum reuse options• Proven design and performance at other mine sitesThe success in securing this business follows the recent supply of two (2) Class ‘A’ STP’s to the Rio Tinto Mesa ‘A’ Iron Ore project in the Pilbara
