Oman - new highway gears up
A new 275km highway project is Oman is now being launched. Some US$16.63 million worth of engineering design contracts for sections II and III of the project have been awarded by the Government Tender Board. Section I is for a 90km length of road and Section III will involve an 85km section. The tendering process for sections II and III received bids from 10 consulting engineering firms. These were: National Engineering Services Pakistan & Partners (NESPAK), Consolidated Consultants Engineering & Environment, Dar al Handasah, Khatib & Alami, Parsons International, Conser & Partners, Botek Bosphorus, Cowi & Partners, Century Architects and Modern Engineering.
