Stelex Construction Equipment of Whitchurch, Shropshire, UK, have recently unveiled their latest generation of heavy duty recycling Trommels for handling bricks, concrete etc. from builders/construction waste, and mixed domestic waste.
The model HT152 offers many design benefits, with a completely new 1.5m diameter barrel design made up of four 2 m sections. This features easily replaceable punch plate aperture panels. The panels slide easily into the barrel and are locked in place by heavy-duty rubber lifters. Screening apertures can vary between 38mm up to 200mm, dependent upon individual customer's requirement. Drive is by direct, maintenance free hydraulic motors.
The unit can accept a feed size of 300 mm and can be fed directly from a conveyor through an in-built feed chute at a process rate of up to 250 tph. The compact unit can easily fit into an existing recycling processing circuit or be supplied as a stand-alone unit when dealing with a specific type material feed.
The advantage of the machine is that it is aimed specifically at the growing heavy-duty recycling market, where operators need a well engineered, lightweight yet heavy-duty machine with a ‘switch on and forget' reliability.
Additional features include fitted walkways with handrails, and low noise nylon support rollers for extended wear.
Stelex also manufacture a range of Hercules heavy duty Trommels, both mobile and static, with outputs of up to 1500 tph, which are used extensively in the quarrying industry.
